One of the most unpretentious bars in town with great views over D. Luís bridge and the Douro river. Placed side by side with the medieval wall, Guindalense is a hidden gem in the heart of Porto!
Bar da Ponte Pênsil
This bar is a fantastic spot in one of the most touristic areas in Porto, located right beside D.Luís bridge and literally on top of the Douro river! Bar da Ponte Pênsil is a nice place to rest when exploring the Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia.
Esplanada do Teleférico
After crossing D. Luís bridge on its upper lever, you will find Esplanada do Teleférico, a cafe with breathtaking views over Porto! It is located near the entrance of Gaia’s cable car, so make a pit stop here before heading to the lower part of the city.
Miradouro Ignez
Located at Rua da Restauração, just behind the beautiful Crystal Palace Gardens, is the laid back Miradouro Ignez. Go there for a beer and enjoy its amazing views!
Ibar
And how about a bar as closer to the sea as it can get? Ibar is located on the top of the rocks by the beach at Foz neighborhood. It gets crowded on sunny days, as you can imagine! If you find a place to sit, enjoy the sea breeze and don’t forget to try their sangria.
