There are many places where you can have a great view over Porto. Each one of them has its unique characteristics. Today, we show you a selection of those places – some of them are included on AtWill’s tours, of course!
First, Jardim do Morro in Vila Nova de Gaia. It is a place with one of the most beautiful views, as you can have the full view over Porto, na Unesco World Heritage site!
Next you have erreiro da Sé (the patio of the Cathedral), where you have a high and privileged perspective over the Douro River, Cais de Gaia and over Porto’s Baixa area.
Passeio das Virtudes is one of the most sorts after places to hang out and have a drink. Here you can relax overlooking the beautiful Virtudes garden and terraces. You can also see the mouth river and a bit of Foz.
Next we have the Miradouro da Vitória, right on the center of the Jewish quarter. It is visited by many locals. You’ll see the highest part of town, with the Sé on top, the hilly terrain full of houses and monuments, the beautiful ceiling of Palácio da Bolsa and the wine cellars in Gaia.
At last but not the least, not so central but really worth it, are the belvederes in Palácio the Cristal. Set in a fantastic location, you can stroll along the amazing gardens and have different points of view over the river and city!
