Just this Monday one of the biggest pieces of public art in Porto was inaugurated! You have got to see the colorful tile panel from the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos! It’s in the Guilherme Gomes Fernandes Square, near the Clérigos and has more than 8 thousand hand painted tiles! :O
Don’t miss the chance to stop by one of best bars in Porto, Candelabro! This café/bar was one of the responsible for the “Baixa movement” and getting people to the downtown area! This Thursday, 26th January, there will be a free concert by the American singer/song writer Terry Lee Hale! Enjoy the cool people and atmosphere!
Há Filmes na Baixa! is another initiative to bring back cinema to the city center! Are you a film fan?! Feel like enjoying a night in the town with some good movies?! In the Passos Manuel Street and until 9th of February you may see the best docs of the last Porto/Post/Doc festival. This is the perfect opportunity to check one of the cultural hot spots of Porto and enjoy Portuguese cinema!
The Pink Market is back this weekend, 28th and 29th of January, and this time it takes place by the sea. Go to the Edifício Transparente in Matosinhos and enjoy the sun and shopping! This will be a special sales edition! Besides, some dancing activities and face painting for children is planned!
