This Saturday, July 29th, the weather will be warm and sunny, so one great idea is to head to Matosinhos area and enjoy the beach! Over there, you can find delicious seafood – the freshest you can find around.
At night, the city will host a Jazz Festival and you can stay there to see some amazing live music! The main concert is going to get together Gregory Porter, awarded North American singer, and the Porto’s Casa da Música Orchestra. This unique concert is free of charge and something not to be missed! At Guilhermina Suggia Square at 10 pm.
On Sunday, one tip is to visit the amazing Serralves Museum! At the moment, they are hosting many different shows. At the Villa, you can see Nick Mauss’ first solo exhibition in Portugal, Intricate Others. In the museum, you can see Julie Mehrethu’s paintings and drawings, in the exhibition A Universal History of Anything and Nothing. Also, selected works of the museum’s collection from the group show Serralves Collection: 1960-1980. And Splitting, Cutting, Writing, Drawing, Eating… presents the work of one of the most important artists from the 1970’s, Gordon Matta-Clark.
After checking tons of art, head to the museum’s garden. Take your time exploring and relaxing at this amazing place! And if you’re traveling with kids, this weekend you can enjoy Serralves Museum even more! Don’t miss a chance to see Catabrisa, a great dance/theater play about a boy and its adventures!
