Um Objeto e Seus Discursos – One objects and it’s stories.
On Saturday, at 6 pm, you can discover the beautiful Islamic Pharmacy, located in the Pharmacy Museum (Rua Engº Ferreira Dias nº 728). The guided visit will be held by the museum’s director, João Neto, accompanied by and specialist in pharmacology, José Manuel de Sousa Lobo, and the leader of the Islamic community in Porto, Abdul Rehman. It will be a great opportunity to discover this hidden gem, that reminds us of the Arabic Room at the Stock Exchange Palace. The visit is free of charge!
Porto Belo Market and Letraria Craft Beer
One of the first street markets in town is back this Saturday, at Carlos Alberto Square. Between 10 am and 7 pm Porto Belo Market will be showcasing biological products, clothes, vinyl, books, handicrafts and much more! Don’t miss it – it’s near the University Rectory Building and the Cordoaria Garden.
And at night you can join the inauguration of Letraria, the new craft beer spot in town! Go to Alegria Street 101 to check more than 50 different types of beer, petiscos and an awesome garden. Check their website for more information: www.cervejaletra.pt
And from the 17th to 19th Porto will the battlefield of a dance competition: Porto World Battle (PWB) will be held at MXM Art Center, in the Ribeira area. Dancers from all over the world will be competing in different styles, like bboying, house, hip-hop, locking and popping. See the schedule and more info on the event’s Facebook page:
