Porto is a great city to explore on a weekend getaway. If you made plans to be in town this weekend, we can help you with some tips on what to visit in the next few days! After joining us for a walking tour to explore the city, choose one (or more!) of this activities and live the city as a local:
Between July 20th to 23rd, Porto will be hosting the 4th edition of Vinho Verde Wine Fest (VVWF)! The event’s program features wine tastings, wine courses, show cooking, workshops and much more. With 33 wine producers and 20 invited chefs, they are going to show us all about the wonders of vinho verde (green wine)! If you’re traveling with kids, don’t worry – the festival is for the whole family! VVWF happens at Alfândega do Porto – near the riverside area – and daily tickets cost 10€.
On Saturday, Casa das Artes will host another edition of the “Piquenique Dançante sobre a Relva” – a great combination of music and picnic! This is the perfect opportunity to gatherwith a group of friends, enjoy some music and just relax. Some of the attractions are: PZ, Old Jerusalem, Barry White Gone Wrong, Desligado, Carbon and Rui David. Plus, DJ sets and lots of activities for kids! From 11am to 9 pm, free entrance :)
Another option is to check one of the rooftops sunset parties organized by SHotels. This weekend, it will be held at 360 Vip Lounge at Porto Palácio Hotel – right at Boavista Avenue. To eat, different petiscos (small portions) created by chefs Álvaro Costa and Hugo Dias. In terms of drinks, gin, champagne, craft beer and much more! All of that accompanied by good music. The party starts at 6:30 up until 8:30pm.
And on Sunday, Somersby Porto Sunday Sessions will continue to bring bustle to Passeio Alegre! Between 4 and 8 pm, there will be music, street market, food and drinks for everyone. This weekend, João Valente will be in charge of the music. The event is free of charge!
