If you are traveling with your little ones, you can’t miss the new Sea Life exhibition. The city’s aquarium is having the most famous monuments of town reconstructed with LEGO! See the Clérigos tower, the Lello Bookshop, the Douro River, the trams and other landmarks made out of LEGO pieces. Before heading to the beach and play there is no better thing to do! The Sea Life Aquarium is located at the roundabout of Castelo do Queijo.
This Saturday, don’t miss the Festival “Ao Gosto do Porto” (Taste of Porto)! This festival is all about food, of course! At São Lazaro Garden, from August 3rd to 27th and from 12 pm to midnight, dozens of restaurants from all over Portugal will be there. It’s your chance to experiment Portuguese food! The restaurants will change every week so you can get to know different typical dishes and drinks! This weekend, seafood is the star! Hummmmm…
And on every Sunday of August, you can check Porto Sunday Sessions, s music festival at the City Park!
Free concerts accompanied by good food, drinks, and a flea market, from 4 pm till 8 pm. It’s the perfect way to end your weekend!
Finally, we have a suggestion that is outside of Porto! It’s the famous medieval fair at Santa Maria da Feira. Until August 13th you have the chance to see this beautiful town transformed into a medieval city! A huge historical recreation takes over Santa Maria da Feira’s Castle. You will be able to see how the village was back in the 14th century! Jousts, tournaments, military camps, shipyards, taverns, stables and even a falconry are part of the fair. You can’t miss it!
